Synopsis

Co-written and co-directed by Irish-Zambian rapper Denise Chaila and Irish photographer B+ (aka Brian Cross), ENERGY eulogizes local spaces around the filmmakers' hometown of Limerick — including Ardnacrusha Power Station, Mount Trenchard House and the People's Park — montaging archival and contemporary footage to form visual couplets marrying diasporic histories, racial discrimination and political ideologies, magic and music.
