Synopsis
Al-Qaeda (al-QIA) affiliated terrorist organizations such as al-Nusra and ISIS have laid siege to Aleppo City Prison. Syrian police and soldiers and more than 2,500 prisoners remained under siege for more than a year. Until May 22, 2014, when the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah broke the siege.
